Not everyone can afford to pay resale prices on popular colorways of kicks. Enter the Nike ID program. These Nike Air Force 1 ID South Beach are a take on the Lebron 8 “South Beach”.
While pink is a prevalent color on that shoe, I only have the replacement laces in pink here as I want to be able to switch up the look at will. The official laces that I got with these are the same blue as the upper and have metal tips. These also come with a special hangtag.
Trends fade and then return. As the South Beach colorway got played out, I quit rocking the pink laces. Now that it has mostly been forgotten, it’s time to bring the pink back out to play!
How Are The Materials?
The quality used on the materials is excellent. Smooth, supple leather wraps the top of the shoe. I’m not sure if the material quality on Nike ID’s is always this good, but I definitely feel like I get my moneys worth every time I create a pair. If you find Nike’s materials at retail disappointing, definitely look into their ID program.
How Do They Fit?
Like many AF1s, these Nike Air Force 1 ID South Beach totally fit big. I wish I’d have ordered a half size down. I find I need to lace them tighter than I would like. By today’s standards, these are fairly heavy and the premium materials seem to add a bit of weight. Other than that, these are very comfortable! I’m definitely feeling the vibrant, adaptable colorway I went with and the quality of the shoe and I recommend the ID program to anyone that wants either their own custom shoe or a way to get a hold of an otherwise hard to obtain colorway.
